Three Reasons Why People Love Giant Wedding Balloons

Here are my top 3 reasons why people love giant balloons on their wedding day.

If you love balloons and want them to feature in your wedding day, why not go full out and have giant wedding balloons?!

1. Decorations

Everybody’s reaction is always the same when they see giant balloons – WOW look at how big them balloons are!!

You will grabbing everyone’s attention straight away, as soon as they walk into the room.

Giant gold confetti balloons

Whether you choose to have them as a backdrop to your top table or as your décor on every table. Your wedding balloons will look amazing.

Giant blue wedding balloons

2. Photo Props

Some couples choose not to have balloons as part of their décor, but have them just for their wedding photos.

And as you can see from these images below, why would you not involve balloons in your photos.

Make sure you let your photographer know your ideas, when giving them the list of photos you want to have on your wedding day.

You can of course use your balloons as your wedding décor and then use some of them in your wedding photos as well.

But let me know if this is the case. The balloons will have to be slightly under inflated to fit in and out of doors!!

3. Versatile

Due to the size of the balloon, you can add extras to them and it wont effect the float time as much as it does with smaller balloons.

You can add in confetti, Organza around the outside, you can even add ivy or tassels to the the base of the balloon.

And yes I can add personalisation to it.

So can you see why giant balloons are so popular to have on your wedding day?

Do you want to have an amazing blue wedding?

Blue is becoming more and more popular as a wedding colour scheme.

When pantone announced it as its colour for 2020 I know lots of people got excited.

As did Mel from Mel’s Cakes and bakes who organised this shoot.

From blue balloons, to a blue cake, a blue suit to blue candles, there is so much you can do if you want a blue wedding and we had it all.

Mel wanted to go for a mix of dark and light blues with a hint of gold.

So this is what I did with my balloons.

We had decided on a Demi arch – a half arch organic style – on my hoop framework. I used a mixture of Navy, pastel blue and azure blue balloons and added in a few gold chrome balloons.

Later throughout the shoot we attached the lets eat cake sign from Sparkling event hire to the hoop.

Toni from Glamavan even added blue glitter to the bride

Keshell came with her mobile bar and added blue bunting

I think you can see that there is much available if you want to have a blue wedding.

I hope this has given you lots of inspiration for your special day.

A Guide to having a Balloon Hoop at your special occasion.

Balloon hoop / moon gate / wreath

Whichever name your prefer to call them, they are so on trend right now.

The top 5 places to have a balloon hoop is:

  • Weddings
  • Baby showers
  • Birthday Parties
  • Communions
  • Halloween Parties

I offer 2 different sizes of balloon hoops – A large hoop or a small hoop.

My large hoop is a hire item & will need to be collected after your event and the small hoops are your to keep.

Both designs can have the balloons displayed in all different ways from, half designs, to full designs.

Large Hoop Design

If you want to make a feature out of you balloon décor, this is way to go.

Standing at just over 6ft tall a large hoop / moon gate will WOW your guests.

The most popular way is have the hoop as a backdrop for your cake. Either framing the cake or having it as a backdrop, so there is still plenty of room for you to have your photos taken with it too.

Small Hoop Designs

If you looking for something a bit smaller. Maybe for a smaller house party or a birthday gift for someone, a small hoop is perfect for this.

You can hang them, or sit them on a table.

You can have names, letters or words, ages added or themed ones – Take a look below to see the Halloween themed one!

Natural Barn Wedding

Natural Barn Wedding

Pinterest graphic

At the end of 2019 I was asked to take part in a natural barn wedding shoot at South Farm.

I had never been to this venue before, but had heard lots about it and was very excited as they have PIGS!!!

The shoot was for a natural themed barn wedding, I provided balloons in nude/blush. I was to place them around Sam’s copper frame to form an arch style display.

The thing with nude/blush balloons, is that they look nice, but they are VERY plain.

So to add some depth, I added a few rose gold balloons, they matched perfectly with the butterflies on Mel’s cake.

Using a mixture of different sized balloons, I decorated half of the framework.

So you could still see the wooden beams from the barn. I then left gaps for the copper pipe to show through.

Alina then added some of her flowers. They matched what she had used around the venue and in the brides bouquet.

Using wooden crates instead a table, helped the cake area fit right in with the natural barn theme.

The images below, show the balloon arch being used as a backdrop for photos. You could even use it as part of ceremony.

After the indoor shots, I took the balloons and wrapped them around Jo’s wooden Love Letters.

I think you will agree, if you are having a natural barn wedding, you can have balloon décor too and if will fit perfectly into your theme.

Pastel colours are so popular right now. Are you thinking of having a pastel wedding?

They are described as light, soft, and calming. It is said if you like pastels and use them as a colour scheme you are probably someone who is friendly, sensitive, gentle and caring. Does that sound like you?

First of you will need to decide if you are going to stick to one colour for your pastel wedding or are you going to go multi coloured?

Once you have decided this, you then need to decide whether you are going to go full out and have everything pastel or are you going to just add a hint of pastel into your scheme.

5 Ways to add pastels into your wedding day

1. Balloons

Yes, balloons now come in your favourite pastel colours too. Add them as an arch or to your tables as centrepieces, there are so many different ways to add balloon into your wedding day.

Blue & Red Wedding

Read all about Catriona’s & Roberts Blue & Red wedding day.

Catriona & Robert wanted to add a fun to their wedding day and chose to have a superhero themed wedding.

From the grooms bow tie to the brides garter every little detail had a nod to a superhero.

Whether they were from Marvel or DC legends, they were included.

Room Décor

After the church service in Streatley, the wedding reception was held at The co op club in Luton.

With the help from Catriona’s sister they made their own table centrepieces. Each one featured a different colour that went along with that superhero.

Everything else was then kept to blue & red which matched the guest’s invitations.

I alternated the blue & red chair bows, which I set up the previous day with help from Vikki from your wedding friend.

It is sometimes so much easier and less stressful if you can get into your venue the day before. It is always worth asking.

Their exploding first dance balloon contained a mixture of blue & red balloons with red confetti and the top table balloon display was also a mixture of both colours.

I set up a table with a wishing well, wishing tree and personalised balloon blocks, again these contained a mixture of blue and red balloons with blue details added to the wishing well.

Catriona & Robert also booked my sweet cart, this also had blue details added to it. They decided on family favourite sweets and also gave me a list of sweets they didn’t like, so I wouldn’t include them.

Classic Blue

Pantone Colour of the Year –

Classic Blue is Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2020!

The Colour Institute never disappoints and it always matches its annual choice of colour with what the world needs.

Carrying a deep meaning and symbolism, Classic Blue is a beautiful tone that comes just at the right time to convey calmness, stability, and honesty while it marks the world’s transition to a new decade. I simply love this colour.

“PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is a reassuring presence, instilling calm, confidence, and connection,” says Laurie Pressman, Vice President at the Pantone Colour Institute.

“While technology races ahead, often overwhelming our human ability to process everything around us, it’s only natural that we gravitate toward colours that bring a sense of peace, clarity, and even protection. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of Classic Blue highlights, our desire for a dependable and stable foundation from which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”

Creative Decorations can’t wait to incorporate this calming hue of blue into balloon creations this year. It is a solid, trusted colour that certainly brings excitement and provides a field for experimentation for me and my fellow wedding supplier friends.

I would love to know what you think of the Pantone colour of the year 2020.

Are you planning on using it?

Not sure how to add it to your wedding. Here are a few images to help you and if you need any more inspiration on adding the colour blue into your décor or accessories you can go over to my Pinterest board

If you are looking for an element to take your next celebration to the next level, whether you’re hosting a birthday party, welcoming a new baby or celebrating a hen party, a balloon arch is just what your party needs and I can create just about anything for you!

Balloon arches are such a wonderful way to set the scene, bringing attention and colour to any event. When used outdoors, they work fabulously well for sporting events, the opening of new shops or businesses, and to indicate where an event is happening to bring in the crowds! Indoors, they are often used for entrance decor, welcoming and greeting guests as they arrive at their event. For theme events and parties, they can create a big statement and are often used as backdrops for photo opportunities.

The great thing about balloon arches is that I can make them in so many different ways to suit your event. Below is a list of ways you can use balloon arches and the impact they make!

Weddings

use a balloon arch for the entrance of your reception area, to go over your dancefloor or over your cake stand. We will match the balloons to your theme and your wedding day colours.

Birthday Parties

use for the entrance to your hall, venue or your home!

Baby Showers

colour coordinate your balloons to the gender or have lovely neutral colours. These look great on a wall over your food, cake or present table!

Fayres and Fetes

Openings

Again, attract the crowds with a balloon arch at your grand opening to create that wow factor! Great for press photos.

put a balloon arch anywhere and there you have a great photo opportunity! Create a perfect photo booth backdrop with an arch.

Air filled balloons

No Helium? No Problem!

Air filled balloon heart

Of course, Creative Decorations believe that no party is complete without a balloon. As far as I am concerned one single balloon can create a party and look amazing! Balloons are a staple of every party, but some venues say no to helium balloons!

If your venue has given you a big fat NO, do not fret! I have some awesome alternatives here for you. It turns out, there’s a lot you can do with balloons, even without helium. So here are my favourite air filled balloons for you to ensure your party still looks just as fabulous!

Balloon Arches:

Air filled balloon arches bring the WOW factor to every event I have done them for and are a great addition to any party or wedding. Whether you choose them to be at the entrance or as part of the feature on the cake table. Simply let me know your colour scheme and let me do all the hard work for you.

Balloon Walls:

Air filled balloon wall

What better backdrop for your evening photobooth than a balloon wall! These look fab in different colours and really create a perfect ‘selfie’ moment for your guests.

Balloon Centrepieces:

Air filled letter balloons

These always look really cool. We can create just about anything for you! Balloon topiary tree’s look great and are different to your normal centerpieces. Your guests will be impressed with how lovely these look at your event.

Air filled Hanging Ceiling balloons

Hanging balloons:

There is no reason why you can’t have air filled balloons attached to the ceiling, and this can be done easily without helium and still looks great.

Attach to the walls:

This works great for balloon letters to spell out a name or phrase. Maybe to go behind the new ‘Mr & Mrs’ at your wedding meal, or to spell out ‘Dance’ next to the dancefloor. The possibilities are endless and there are almost no restrictions.

Balloon Garlands:

Balloon garlands are so simple to create and look beautiful. This is a really good way to use balloons, even in an outdoor setting as they won’t blow away!

We hope this shows you that you do not need helium to decorate your venue and create a beautiful looking space for your event. So, for your next event consider one of these air filled balloon decorating ideas! if you need more inspiration, head over to my Pinterest board
